Sink into Satisfaction
Choosing a color for your sink can be difficult, so why not buy a sink
that is capable of all colors? The Nymphaea sink from the Whitehaus
Collection changes color depending on the water temperature, allowing
those indecisive buyers a chance to have it all. But, more importantly, this
crystal basin sink uses chromatherapy, a concept that believes that light and
color aid in achieving optimal health, as different colors have different effects
on the body. You may set the sink to one color, or if you are having a party,
you may want it to alter colors frequently, changing your bathroom into a disco
room!

There's No Place Like Home
by Nancy DeRosa, Verona Publishing
This quick read will resonate with suburban mothers who are grappling with
the demands of young children, busy spouses, and a job. Couple this with some
unmet expectations in the Katonah heroine's marital relationship and the opportune
meeting with a very handsome and charming man, and well, you get the picture. We won't give away the ending, and depending on your point of view or where
you are in your own marriage, you may wish Isabella made a different decision.
Nancy DeRosa, who grew up in Westchester, lives in Puchase. She and her
husband, Jack, have three children, and Nancy has been very active in their
school activities, which she has considered her greatest priority.

Don't Try to Talk
RK, Rye's newest restaurant, has a modern industrial décor that
may seem hip, especially to the residents of that city. Unfortunately, it is
very noisy and very pricey for food that is good, but not outstanding. The service
is fair and if the restaurant is crowded—prepare to wait a long time between
courses, even for your appetizer. Food that should be hot when served may have
to be sent back to the kitchen for a warm up

Top Dog
Nicky's Pizzeria has a terrific frankfurter that makes for more than
a good lunchtime sandwich. Wrapped in fresh pizza dough, a touch of mozzarella,
provolone, and parmesan is added to the frankfurter, which is sliced horizontally,
If you prefer to skip the cheese, it is also delicious with either catsup or
mustard. Once it is compiled to your liking, it is placed in the pizza oven
and toasted golden brown. Sliced on the diagonal, it will make a great alternative
to franks in the blanket as an hor d'oeuvre. If you're offering it as a sandwich,
be sure to get extras, because second helpings will be warmly welcomed.

The “Pop Art Mirror” by Mitch and Susan Levin
boasts a uniquely framed mirror of recycled soda cans. The mirror is vibrant
with bright colors from portions of regular soda can designs that when set apart
from their original form and placed with other patterns, excites the eye and
calls into question the multiplicity of uses offered by a simple metal can.
The mirror is signed by the artists on the back. Limited edition.

Not Just for Patients
Greenwich Hospital has a terrific gift shop, with 9 different departments,
including stationery, giftware, jewelry (and unusual sterling pieces), accessories
(handbags and scarves), sleepwear, women's clothing, toys, cut flowers in vases,
sundries, and baby clothes and gifts. Gifts are boxed and bowed. A team of 16
volunteer buyers do the purchasing. One of our all-time favorites is the plush
he-bear and she-bear who dance a robust tango (to the music, of course). The
gift shop is located on the first floor in the atrium.
